Plastic wrap is a plastic packaging product, usually made with ethylene as the masterbatch by polymerization. According to the different types of vinyl masterbatch, most of the plastic wrap sold on the market in China can be divided into three categories:

 

The first is polyethylene plastic wrap, referred to as PE;

The second is polyvinyl chloride cling film, referred to as PVC;

The third is polyvinylidene chloride cling film, referred to as PVDC.

 

Because there are a lot of plasticizers in PVC Cling Film, there are a lot of reports about plasticizers which will produce some teratogenic carcinogenic substances, maybe everyone has panic for this, but all the toxic or harmful substances are actually related to the dose. Like this PVC cling film, if it meets the requirements of national standards, and we purchase it in the formal way, the limit and addition amount of plasticizer in it are required, if the relevant requirements are met, reasonable and normal use, in fact, it is safe.

 

PE plastic wrap is mainly used for food packaging, and the fruits, vegetables and semi-finished products purchased in daily supermarkets can be kept fresh with PE plastic wrap. PVC plastic wrap can be used for food packaging, but because it contains two (2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP), that is, people often say plasticizer, in increasing the elasticity and toughness of plastic at the same time, the safety of the human body has a certain impact, should not be heated to use. PVDC cling film, mainly used for some cooked food, meat and other products packaging, can be limited heating.
